How this site and its Google services handle information when you use Word Finder Lab.
Last updated: July 17, 2026
Overview
Word Finder Lab does not require an account and does not ask you to submit a name, postal address, or email address to use its word tools. The site does use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) for audience measurement and Google AdSense for advertising. Those services can collect information automatically when pages load or when you interact with the site.
Information processed
Depending on your device, settings, location, and consent choices, the site and Google may process:
- pages viewed, approximate visit time, referrals, and interactions with site features or advertisements;
- browser, device, operating system, language, screen, and general network information;
- IP addresses, including their use for security and to derive approximate location information; and
- cookies, advertising identifiers, and similar browser or device identifiers.
We do not use the word-filter text you enter to create a Word Finder Lab account or personal profile. The filtering tools operate as page functionality, but standard analytics events may still record that a page or feature was used.
Google Analytics 4
GA4 helps measure traffic and understand which pages and features are useful. Google may receive usage, device, browser, IP, and identifier information as part of providing Analytics. Analytics reports are generally aggregated, but the underlying service still processes device and event data under Google's terms and settings.
Google AdSense and third parties
Google AdSense is loaded to deliver, limit, measure, and protect advertising. Google and ad technology providers used through Google's advertising systems may use cookies or other identifiers, process IP addresses, and receive ad-view or ad-interaction information. Ads may be personalized or non-personalized depending on your region, consent, settings, and Google's available signals.

Cookies and consent
Analytics and advertising services may set or read cookies and similar identifiers. In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, applicable rules and Google policy require consent for certain uses of cookies, local storage, personal data, and personalized advertising. Use the site's consent controls when they are presented. Their availability and the choices shown can depend on location and the consent-message configuration; this policy does not claim that a consent control is currently shown on every visit.
Your choices
- Use browser controls to block or delete cookies and site data. Blocking storage may affect some site or advertising behavior.
- Use the site's consent controls when available to review or change eligible choices.
- Manage Google advertising choices through My Ad Center.
- Use Google's Analytics opt-out browser add-on where supported.
- Use device-level privacy, advertising-ID, tracking-protection, or private-browsing settings.
Retention
Word Finder Lab does not publish a separate numeric retention period for information processed by GA4 or AdSense because retention is controlled through the applicable Google product settings and Google's policies, which can change. Aggregated reports may remain after user-level data is deleted. Cookies and local identifiers remain until they expire, are replaced, or you delete them. Routine hosting and security logs may also exist for the periods set by the site's hosting and infrastructure providers. We do not keep account records because the site does not offer user accounts.
Children's privacy
Word Finder Lab is a general-audience word utility and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request personal information from children. Because analytics and advertising technology can collect information automatically, a parent or guardian can use browser and device controls, Google's privacy tools, and site consent controls when available to limit that processing.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be updated when the site's tools, advertising or measurement services, or legal obligations change. The date above identifies the latest published version.
